The web filter is largely hated and unwanted. If parents really want internet protection on their child's computer, they can add parental controls. Web filters also use up TONS of bandwidth and make the internet SUPER slow. Leave the web filters to parents and take the web filters off the internet.

Colorado State laws don't even require a Filter on school internet. it just requires you keep Children off of bad sites. This can include disciplining someone if they do happen to access one on school internet. You can easily do this without a filter. And if you really feel it is necessary to have a filter, you can simply block explicit sites. You do not need to block every site out there. Students need to learn responsibility on the internet and they cannot do this if you won't even let them access a wide variety of sites.
