Donald Trump has run a campaign based on hate, fear, and lies. He has done nothing but divide the people of this great nation along the lines of race and religion and has done so under the guise of conservatism. However, he is no conservative. He is a demagogue who preys on people’s fears by emboldening Americans to despise and sometimes physically assault those who believe differently. Trump, who claims he will improve both foreign and domestic relations, is simultaneously promoting hatred towards other countries as well as providing foreigners a cause to hate us. Americans are more divided now than they have been in over two decades, and a great deal of this is due to the xenophobic rhetoric of Trump. This is a petition to state that Donald Trump is no conservative, nor is he a mouthpiece for conservatism. True conservatism is not instituted in hate but love for each other and our American values. If Trump is elected as the GOP candidate, I will either hold my vote or vote third party. In either case, I will not support a fraud and allow the White House to become a spectacle and embarrassment thus further isolating the Republican party from the American people. If his campaign is any indication of what his tenure in office will look like, it will be infested with hatred, national contempt, racial dissension and tyranny. If Trump is nominated, rest assured I will not be voting Republican in the general election.
