If you want Transgender specific bathrooms then make a Transgender specific bathroom. Really isn't that hard.

I think this is one of the worst ideas ever presented to schools and parents.

Totally against it! Where is my child's right to use the bathroom with her own gender? This entire thing shouldn't even be questioned. Boys use the boys room and girls use the girls room. Plain and simple

I don't believe that boys should be in the locker/bathroom with girls and girls in the locker/bathroom with boys. All your doing is asking for trouble. If you give them their own bathroom who is going to monitor what goes on in there? There will be boys and girls together in the bathroom and no one sees a problem with this?! Does rape or online videos concern anybody but me?!!!

What you do behind closed doors is your business, what you do in public is everybody's business. It doesn't matter what you feel like, your parts decide what bathroom you use. If there's any confusion on which bathroom to use, if you have male parts you use the men's bathroom/locker room, if you have female parts you use the women's bathroom/locker room. If your feelings need a bathroom you need to call a guidance counselor/psychiatrist.

As a a former student of Cambridge South Dorchester high school and former president of the school I recognize we need to respect the needs of all students. But there is a time when the rights of many are more important than the rights of few. I like to keep an open mind to everyone and everything but I disagree with the situation we have at hand. I, and I believe I can speak for most of the students that I was once president of, would NOT feel comfortable having boys in the bathroom or locker room. I understand bathrooms would have stalls with locks, but anything can happen. Not only could it be dangerous for young ladies (and men) who are vulnerable to rape but it is dangerous for a transgender student. What happens the first time a transgender student gets beat up in the bathroom because 'they were the cause of this'. The locker room issue is something different entirely. I played a sport every season and was in the locker room almost every day to change. I would not feel comfortable if boys were allowed to be in there. Girls have to change most of their outfit, you almost get completely naked because you have to change into sports bras or spandex. I would not be okay doing that in front of the other gender. And making stalls is not an option, I get 15 minutes to change I won't have time to wait for a stall to open. I hate to know that students are struggling with their gender and where they are 'allowed' to go but I'm sorry I will not feel comfortable if these changes are made. I will not feel comfortable for my friends or my sister. I wish there was another solution.

This is so stupid ! Boys are boys and girls are girls , male parts = men's room , girl parts = ladies room .

This should be the last thing children need to think about as they pursue an education, and definitely the last thing parents should have to worry about as we send our children to school. If there is concern for the transgender children/adults, a third bathroom should be implemented. Male/Female/Trans

Do not let this happen. please keep our right to have a place for the majority of kids to safely use the correct restroom WE should not have to keep worrying about the safety of our children in school

Please do not allow transgender bathrooms in Dorchester County public schools. This will cause many problems, potentially long lasting psychological problems for students who feel violated by the opposite sex using the bathroom or changing/showering next to them.

It should not be done. It's not fair to the heterosexual students.
