To :  Mayor Wood and Roswell City Council Members:

We, the undersigned, are opposed to the City Council approval of the proposed construction site of the emergency radio tower on Fouts Rd. as part of the North Fulton Unified Regional Radio System initiative. This proposed structure will be an eyesore, and it will have detrimental impacts on property values. The proposed location is adjacent to East Roswell Park, several subdivisions, and the futures sites of the East Roswell Library and proposed Arts Center. There are viable options to the placement of the tower in less residential areas. Allowing the building of this tower in this area would not preserve the residential integrity of our neighborhood. We ask a location more suitable for this type of structure be identified. A 400 foot structure looming over our neighborhood would adversely affect the quality of life in the area. These types of structures are usually found in industrial areas or existing government owned buildings, such as fire stations or environmental campuses. We urge the City Council to vote against erecting this eyesore in the backyards of where we work, live, and play.
