Colleges claim that standards in teaching and learning are at the heart of their institutions yet treat their teachers with little and in some cases zero respect.

Zero hours contracts need to be eliminated. All staff (all human beings!) should be entitled to a decent contract of work with a predictable number of hours of expected work.

thank you, for your care. The zero hours contract is by itself so uncertain it has no protection yet we care for our work and are required to give our 100% going the extra mile, so I hope management will understand.

I was a HPL, and the absolute lack of care and consideration from many managers, as you were expected to plan, practice, assess, review and amend just like a contracted member of staff, is utterly unjust. Not to mention being inspected (or observed) just like a contracted member of staff.

As an HPL on a zero hour contract, I am embarrassed to be working for an organisation that doesn't value it's staff. It's demoralizing as I can't even get a loan because I don't have a job security or guaranteed hours.

How about zero hours contracts for managers. We'll let them know when we need their incompetence
