why disfigure another wilderness? Totally unnecessary, wholly unsuitable and the mast is huge danger to migrating birds.

If Tesco were threatening to open a store here then the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust would be in uproar and probably leading this petition. Being at Spurn feels like your on an Island. This shop-cafe complex will ruin everything. The YWT should back down before this nonsense goes any further.

A beautiful, wild, nature rich area. It won't be anymore if you put up this visitor centre there. Please don't.

there are too many unanswered questions, such as ` will implement the necessary traffic restrictions` I can only assume that will mens double yellow lines from the Blue Bell down to the gate at Spurn. as surely this will impinge on the rights of all to park outside the gates, and walk the peninsula, as they/we have for many many years. We will have to contribute to what is going to be a YWT cash cow. Use the existing buildings to limit the spend required and spend the money on the repair of the road. This will be the only way that YWT will get anywhere near their projected numbers of visitors.

As a Spurn visitir fif 40 years I have seen nature arode this place don't let well meaning men ruin it too.

Spurn is a very unique and fragile area.The building of a visitor center will have a detremental effect on the area.Keep spurn wild and natural.

You don't protect a vulnerable place by loading it up with thousands of visitors, and driving 4x4s up and down it all day; Spurn isn't a commodity to be exploited.

This is a travesty. It is dreadful news for Spurn, and dreadful news for Kilnsea. How can quadrupling visitor numbers help "a fragile area" which needs to be "undisturbed"?
Keep development / visitor centres off spurn. Keep it wild and building free.

Such a lovely area but I don't feel the proposed plans will benefit it. It would make more sense to expand the nearby facilities

The debate continues! Oh no it isn't a debate, is it? The YWT is not prepared to debate. After Sir John Lawton comprehensible insults locals, visitor, Spurn Bird Observatory, and receives some well informed criticisms (over 80 to date) we hear nothing from the YWT
