I am objecting to the building here at Spurn. A. I just see staff not quite up to the job. Drinking to excess and vomiting on the outside of Bluebell cafe. I have photographs to support this experience I had this summer. B. Using transport and getting stuck on the beach. I think this is not a trust with serious credible image within the community and further afield. I have met visitors from Cheshire who were treat with indifference when they asked for information this summer. I myself harassed on the beach with my dogs near the terns. My dogs were on leads and well way from the birds in August. I think the way bluebell cafe is run (poorly) is a fair reflection on how the whole project would be mis managed. The trust appears to object to everyone else's dreams in and around Spurn. I would not feel confident with yellow lines restrictions and control to be initiated by such a strange and power driven. Charity. Please can we seek a proper consultation with a group that know so much more: the friends of Spurn. I would only condone the use of buildings already built. No more use of virgin land, leave this land free and wild for all of us far and wide. Not shackled by a trust frankly, not trusted.

It would spoil a natural habitat for resident and migrants birds. Bring extra traffic to sensitive area

The proposed location of the new visitor centre is in a high-risk flood area and also detrimental to important habitat for migrating birds. YWT can use existing buildings for a visitor centre, thus minimising visual impact, and which would perfectly embody a policy to repurpose, reuse and recycle. Clearly this is the preferred option of the local community. For the YWT to continue pushing this idea, after rejection by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, risks alienating the local community, resident and visiting birders, and the wider YWT membership.

The location of this visitor centre is both dangerous to visitors through a flood risk and also damaging of important habitat for migrant birds,a very poor proposal from the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.

This issue is alienating both local and birding communities. The clear way forward ( as suggested by residents) is to adapt exisiting buildings and thus minimize visual impact.

Spurn is a wild place and should stay that way. Add large numbers of people, and the wildness is gone. There is no need for a visitor centre. It's a case of mollycoddling people to generate cash, which seems to be all that matters nowadays.

No objection to a visitor centre in principle, but the proposed location is entirely inappropriate. It is clearly is putting the generation of money above the need to protect and preserve the fragile Spurn environment.
