XU and Manresa should be kept where they are right now. Preserving history and its significance is not a hindrance to progress. The institution can still build, grow and progress from where it stands right now. It’s foundation is strong (literally and figuratively)!

I support this petition.
Current location of the XU Ateneo campus within the heart of the city is a premiere spot. It is accessible to students, employees and parents. SJs hit the jackpot when they acquired it. It's location is a big advantage in attracting potential students and maintaining the students.
XU Ateneo should not rest on its laurels of being a center for academic excellence. There are many schools within the city also offering quality education, and SUCs offering free tuition at that and with the current economy, XU Ateneo would lose its advantage. Business wise, XU Ateneo has to rethink its position. With the XU-Ateneo's need to accommodate more students by expanding its campus, it can expand its campus vertically, this is not a new idea. Other campuses did it and did not lose its advantage. It's sister campus in Davao City is a good example. It is in the middle of a busy and dynamic city, it catered to thousands of students by putting up taller (and eco friendly) buildings.

NO SALE, all of Xavier University downtown CdeO campus and XUCollege of Agriculture MANRESA Farm/Ateneo Aggies must be kept!
Next generation's future is NOT FOR SALE, XU and MANRESA Farm/Ateneo Aggies must continue the legacy laid by it's Forerunners and Alumni who continually advances the "Church of the Poor + Men and Women for Others" mission in various communities.
NO SALE because, XU and MANRESA Farm/Ateneo Aggies has a great role to play especially in the next 25 years to which the world will enter into a new "bio-era" and Smart Agriculture will far more mainstream agroecological farming designs that will closely interplay with Artificial Intelligence (AI) compatible systems.
Collectively, we have to re-orient our world view and embrace sustainable ecological paradigm shift in order to survive the areana of institutional relevance.
We have to keep all of XU downtown CdeO campus and MANRESA Farm/Ateneo Aggies to gain foothold in imbalance futuristic world.

Similarly situated universities and colleges opted to lease their property and move the institution to locations less congested and more conducive to learning. Ateneo de Cagayan should opt the same.
