Dear Trustco
I am not in the habit of pursuing petitions but the sheer ignorance/stupidity of this ad and especially the follow up by the CEO seems too blatantly deliberate to ignore. Especially where the man takes it upon himself to apologise on behalf of only he knows who to the nation and women and the LGBT community and he only knows who else for something of which he is an integral part of the problem. What the hell? This is the absolute epitome of arrogance and narcissism. Does he have any idea how ridiculous he seems?
What started as a bad joke is now being defended as someone else's fault. Did the man buy his doctorate from Trump University? Does he hope that there will be enough stupid people who will think it's funny, or even clever, so that he can claim enough support to rationalise his position?
It's being claimed that the ad is successful because of the attention it gets. That is correct. There is enough stupidity around for even something this banal to draw attention. However the favourable attention it gets is only by people who's favour is bought or who rally don't understand. A smidgeon of intellect will immediately recognise the absolute lack of taste and decorum. It's your decision who's respect you value more....
Hell Quinton, this is your chance mate. You don't need a doctorate to know that this is about more than damage control for yourself and your business and whoever else is responsible for this mess. You have a chance and a responsibility here to do the right thing. This is not about you. It's about something much bigger. We live in a country where everybody who is not perfectly conventional is being frowned upon and this plagiaristic effort of your advertising team does a lot more damage than a lot of people will realise.

Everything was done to bring all those who are left out on they system. But due to the luck of knowledge of sexism at the management level Trusco had to get into this shame. A fair apologie with no bad feeling from Quinton and without diverting from the issue on the table will be a good thing to do. We all make mistake because of the unknown.
