No to the plans destroying the character of the historic centre of Olhão in Portugal

Je ne suis pas opposée à ce que le centre historique soit rénové, bien au contraire. Mais il est impératif de respecter l'architecture actuelle et ne pas dépasser la hauteur des constructions actuelles. C'est tout le charme d'Olhão que j'aime tant, il faut absolument préserver cette architecture. Je pense que la construction d'un immeuble de 21 mètres dans le centre historique en face du Camara serait une très grave erreur. Je m'oppose à cette réalisation. J'aime assez les rénovations des places qui ont étés réalisées. On peut intégrer des éléments architecturaux contemporains, cela fonctionne bien quand c'est bien maîtrisé.

Please let Olhao retain its beautiful and unique character. To destroy it would.be a.tragedy.

This is a shortsighted and unfashionably retrograde plan which will make the town the same as any other ... ie all distiguishing features will be eliminated.

I strongly object to the proposals and changes to the Historic centre of Olhao we love it the way it is and has been for hundreds of years this is its unique charm .Please do not destroy this.

Do not spoil this lovely old town ..

Instead of spending the money on unwanted projects, which if allowed to continue will destroy the charm of Olhao. Consider using this money to benefit and improve the lives of the poorer residents of Olhao.

Please do not destroy the charm of this unique Portuguese town which has encouraged visitors to invest in renovating old or derelict houses and the economy of Olhao. The modernisation which has taken place to date in the squares with modern stadium lighting have created a form of light pollution in the town.

What makes Olhão so unique it the fact that so many of its beautiful old buildings have not been demolished. To 'modernise' any of the town will kill it's unique appeal & will directly divert it's rude towards being a must see cultural stop over into a place to avoid like all the other modern developed towns along the Algarve.

I strongly disagree with the proposal to remove calcadas, build a tower and generally change the existing historic centre.

Os Autarcas ainda não se apercebram que preservar o património histórico é que permite uma experiência única aos nossos locais e turistas? Dediquem os fundos para restaurar o património e não para eliminá-lo.

Many tourists come to Algarve to experience authentic small towns and villages, that all disappeared in north Europe in the 70s. I still cry when I think how Portimāo destroyed their spectacular Mercado! It was the soul of that town!
