Crumbling character of old Olhao is unique; To replace it with shiny new buildings would destroyed what can never be recreated. A shiny shopping centre would be more apropriate out near the shiny new Hotel NOT in the old town.

If the Camera have some money to spend, then bury all the wires/electric cables in the oldtown. Many people are investing in Olhao now and old buildings are being refurbished sypathetically. Protecting Olhão's heritage should be paramount. Many towns are now replacing such thoughtless modernisation with the original materials. The recently paved areas have started cracking already, keep the cobbles.
