No to the plans destroying the character of the historic centre of Olhão in Portugal

We came as travellers to Olhau and were struck by how special it is a town with character and how real it feels,as compared to dozens of coastal towns on the Mediterranean or Atlantic coasts. It made me want to come back and bring my friends and fellow creative professionals who would probably go elsewhere, if the plans to redevelop Olhau go through

Not more paving over paradise just for the sake of it. Please respect Olhao's unique beauty and heritage and respect the wishes of it's people.

No! Olhao is beautiful as it is. Preserve your historic buildings PLEASE.

Save the historic centre of Olhao. Don't disturb it. It's a big treasure

I sign for the protection of Olhao as we know it...

We visit often because we love the good restoration of the old town. Do not spoil it as so much of the Algarve is spoilt.

Why? Are they crazy? Who are these people who want to destroy beauty? Have they no shame?

Destroying the old characteristic towncenter means destroying cultural wealth. This typical still intact archtictuaral scene attracts people from many other countries. To "modernize" it means to destroy the beauty and to repeat mistaces done in Querença and Loule, where marble and cement came instead of beautiful calçada and trees

Nos principais paises europeus, conserva se o mais possivel as zonas antigas porque é isso que destingue e da carater as cidades. A zona historica de Olhao é a unica coisa que vale a pena manter em Olhao o numero de turistas e todos os estranjeiros que estao a investir nessa cidade ja esta a fazer a diferença, bons restaurantes , bom serviço etc Por favor nao destruam isso e nao façam de Olhao uma Quarteira ou Albufeira que nao tem nada para oferecer muito obrigada maria

Preserve the limited height and UNIQUE cube style of the historic centre . We have been coming since 30 years . Too much of the Algarve has been spoilt by overdevelopment .Old Olhao is different , and being restored well , don't mess it up !!!

Please, save the old town of Olhão!

Please keep the center as it was it was a beautiful holiday we had there and the historic center was perfect

Olhao is unique in that it maintains its Portuguese identity. If lost then lost forever

Devemos defender o nosso património original. O valor daquela zona são as casas, ruas e becos tal como são. Poderão fazer algumas operações de reboque mas sem qualquer Alteração da Traça Original. Queremos aqueles bairros tal como são há décadas.
