I strongly oppose this planned renewal, especially taking up the patterned calcadas, the centre of Olhao would lose all its charm and special identity.

These plans represent a huge step towards the destruction of not just the historic architecture of olhao but it's unique culture. Why would anyone wish to deprive Portugal of a national gem and replace it with yet another characterless concrete tourist town with no Portuguese identity? .....actually the answer is the same as usual in these matters.....money, greed and self interest with total disregard for those who value their culture and heritage.

Please do not allow the character of Olhao to change it was what we most liked and why we have recommended to many people to visit. We would not visit again if this changed and we currently visit at least twice a year.

Beautiful city that should not be modernised in this way. Leave this heritage alone. As a tourist this heritage is what I visit for. I would not want to visit a modernised Olhao

The visual and real character of this town, should be part of Portugal's future. Oxford's planners made the same mistakes in the 1960's, no way back.

I concur with the views expressed in this petition .The proposed changes are detrimental to the future of Olhao and its attractiveness as a place to invest . I have bought several properties in Olhao and would consider selling them if the plans proceed
