I oppose the quarry for health reasons that the quarry owners won't acknowledge.

If the quarry is actually put into operation and all the harmful negatives, so obvious to all, become concrete facts then what is our recourse? Just smile and just live with it???

To allow the lLittle River Quarry to operate is to benefit financially a few to the serious detriment of many from a health, safety as well as a financial aspect. As a thirty year employee of the Department of Environmental Protection State of New Jersey with two degrees in the sciences, it amazes me that such an operation is even being considered at that location. An environmental impact study would have halted such proceedings on day one.

Just bought in Carolina Trace. Concerned about the environment and property values.

I own land on Fred Stone Road and I vigorously oppose this quarry. The acquisition of property to even be able to consider this was done with deception and deviousness.

This will not help Trace only decrease the value and disrupt the newly facelift of our golf course. The noise alone is disruptive -

I am very concerned about air and pollution that would be created by this quarry.

Don't do this to the Carolina Trace homeowners and the fastest growing area of Lee County.

The quarry would negatively effect air and water quality, while heavy truck traffic would effect road quality in Lee County, not to speak of slowing down and possibly stopping traffic on highway 87. The only beneficiaries would be the owners of the quarry and those few employees they would hire. (From the presentations of the quarry owners, it appears that most work would be mechanized, requiring few local workers as employees.

Living across the road from an active quarry doesn't sound like fun!

This quarry is an abomination in its proximity to a large retirement community, with all of its attendant detractors to health and safety. This selfish and salutary gouge out of over 2,000 people's life style and retirement environment is not just an eyesore, but a daily reminder of rogue developers and their greed for money at the expense of innocent citizens. Say No Quarry!!!

Highway 87 is busy as is, and the increased number of trucks, the downgrading of the quality of air, water tables and lake being impacted, and the devaluing of peoples property and the business of golf at Carolina Trace - this is a travesty. .

I live in Carolina Trace and am avidly opposed to this quarry being built across the street.

No quarry! It's a terrible location; it will negatively impact the environment; it will lower property values; it will not be an asset to the new apartment complex being built; it will present a hazard to drivers on Hwy 87; dump trucks cause a huge amount of wear & tear to the roads & cause numerous cracked windshields; and it will add unwanted air, noise & water pollution. Common sense dictates that something such as this should be located in a very rural area - not on the edge of the city amid a residential area.
