There is no need for this quarry in this area AT ALL.. It adds no useful jobs for the Lee County area when we are building homes and are adding families
to live in our community. Please rethink this...

The blasting in the quarry could cause shock waves that will damage foundations of homes in the area; and the machines that crush the rock quarried with cause noise pollution. The presence of the quarry will have an adverse affect on the prices of homes in the area.

It is unthinkable to build another quarry at a time when there are so many efforts to attract people and businesses to Lee Co. You can paint murals downtown, but until Lee Co/NC improves education and environment, who is going to want to move here? Facts show another quarry is not needed, so back off and think of something positive for the community.

That real estate is not only prime for retail development - considering Ft Bragg is claiming a critical housing shortage - it seems like that property could be utilized to attract housing developers. There are so many possibilities that don't threaten our river, Lake Trace, our environment, or our property values and would be more beneficial in the long term for our job market, economy, and growth over all.
