Preserving a way of life that is connected to the health of the earth is a worthy and moral /ethical responsibility. Modern mining pillages, disrupts and poisons and then leaves its carnage: a few people drive new trucks that rust later, and the land is scarred until after the next ice age. This is not just short-sightedness, it is willful blindness!

The land belongs to the Sámi, and if the Sámi say no, the answer should be no. The Sámi have clearly refused and their right to the land should be respected.

Samerna har sagt nej. Det är deras land. Sveriges regering bör inte kolonisera och sälja ut till gruvdrift.

Lets learn from each other rather than destroy our cultural knowledge! The Samis are as important to the land as the land is to them. Its not worth degrading nature if we can find alternative ways to meet our needs.
