This area is an important corridor for wildlife notably badgers. We simply do not have the infasrtructure for yet MOREhouses.

This development should not go ahead as there is an abundance of wildlife there now which should not be disturbed including a badgers sett that cannot under law be removed.
There is also many lovely trees there.
We have had enough housing estates going up or currently being built that we must say No more and enough is enough!

This development will be detrimental to existing wildlife in the area and to the nearby environment. There are fewer and fewer green spaces left in East Calder. It will also exacerbate pressure on existing amenities (doctors, etc.) in the village. East Calder has had it's fair share of housing developments (Castle Rock, Seven Wells, Calderwood, and another planned development at Mansefield), it really does not need any more...

Individual villages should be allowed to maintain their identities and should not be joined.
Also insufficient infrastructure to support more housing in the area.

This development would effectively join East Calder to Mid Calder thus damaging the individual character and identity of the two Villages.
The roads through both East and Mid Calder are already dangerously congested and the impact of a housing development on this site would further exacerbate the problem.

Ec has enough new builds. It wasnt the village it used to be. Main street is a nightmare now but nothing done about it. Stop the lorries coming through village that's what the a71 was built for

Our doctors surgery, roads etc are struggling with the influx of housing already added to the area. These houses will also add more strain to this situation and there are no plans to fix the current situation. We are also losing the area where many dog walkers go as well as where there are a few deer regularly sighted. To remove this area is to destroy more eco systems

Neither village has the infrastructure to cope with more development. School/nursery places and GP services are already stretched beyond capacity as it is. The roads will not cope with increased traffic and any more housing will vastly reduce quality of life and resources for everyone already in the villages as well as anyone moving to the new homes. Never mind the dwindling green spaces in the area. Please for once put profit aside and restrict any new building.

East & Mid Calder do not the services and infrastructure to cope with anymore houses, it is ridiculous to think WLC will approve this
