There should not be a rate rise and the councillors were voted in because they told us they would listen to the community, so far this has not been done. There are no facts to warrant this rate rise.

It is time the shire councillors began to work for the rate payers. Stop paying people in top jobs over the top wages. Start making decisions to benefit the shire. Ask the questions is it good for the rate payers and will it be good for everybody?

This is a truly shameful show of incompetence by local shire representatives. Moral and credible service to the rate payers and business owners is what you are put in office to accomplish, its a far cry from what you deliver...Shame on you!

If the rates were use more efficiently instead of being used for Non Urgent Non Essential projects then businesses and residents would be less angered by this proposal.

Our rates in Wyndham have more than double over a period of 5 years! What services to we get now that we were not getting 5 years ago? NONE!

The rates we pay are disproportionate to the services we receive! And now our rates will increase even more to pay for a weekly rubbish collection service we didn't request!!

Each year the rates go up yet what do 'out-of-towners' like us get for the money?? Very little!!

Kununurra rates are ridiculous Services where we live a few. No street lights, a non gazetted road. We don't know where it starts and finishes. Couldn't even call it gravel. We have owned this property for 20 years

The local Government needs to constrain its growth in line with the regulated inflation rate , and to budget less in excess , and working more in line within the confines of the capital expenditure it has available . Although outsourcing is considered , there is more scope to reduce top heavy staffing arrangements whereby local outsourcing could very well achieve a similar service with considerable savings to the bottom line .

No rate rise until the shire can show financial responsibility to ratepayers.

Rate payer for 9 years - still waiting for footpaths on townside, and for those who are fortunate to have footpaths, cannot use most of those, trees are overgrown. Waste collection rates for outter towners??? Re-finance your annual budget and stop wasting money on machines that leave our roads with nasty sticky tar and loose stones that sticks like glue to our cars.

I don't agree with the rate increases and I also didn't like how the waste collection for outer Kununurra was imposed.
