We the undersigned do not support a Starbucks in the new Faculty of Environment Building (EV3).
We do not believe Starbucks is congruent with the ENV Ethos.
We support a sustainable, ethical alternative, as expressed by students during consultations.
The silence from the planning committee remains heavy but it only proves they are watching our progress. We continue to hold space for an alternative that actually reflects what we value here.
October 30, 2010
Reaching this level of support confirms that we are not acting alone in our push for a more ethical campus. The exhaustion is setting in but the momentum here proves that our vision for this building resonates with far more people than the administration wants to admit.

This goes against everything we talk about in our classes. Talk about hypocrisy.

Totally disagree with having a starbucks in EV3. Seems like the opposite of what the environment faculty stands for.

PLEASE NO. We need something sustainable. Just another way to fill a building with corporate trash.

Seriously? The environmental building shouldn't be advertising a massive chain like that. so disappointing.
