As friends, neighbors, and customers of the Gull Wing Inn, we object to the proposed addition of a 10 unit, two-story expansion to the existing Moonstone Motel in Moclips. The proposed structure is much larger than any other on Pacific Ave. The structures on this 1/2 mile long street are beach cabins, vacation rentals, and single family dwellings. We ask that the owner be required to abide by the 25' front setback from 4th street (the park and beach path), and that a smaller 6 unit expansion be considered. Abiding by the 25' setback will afford four home owners, and the 3-suite Gull Wing Inn a continued, but narrowed ocean view out over the park.
I have been reviewing the zoning codes all week to prepare our formal testimony for the planning commission. Email your local representative today to demand they enforce the twenty five foot setback requirement.

The scale of this turnout proves our neighborhood will not accept an outsized development that kills our ocean views. Call the planning office today to demand they enforce the setback requirements on Pacific Avenue.

ridiculous. stick to the 25ft setback. no reason they should get special treatment over the folks who live here year round.

our poor beach path will be totally overshadowed. so sad to see them trying to cram so much into such a small spot.

this is going to ruin the character of our little street. we moved here for the charm and the views, not for a giant motel block blocking everything out.

10 units is just too much for that plot. keep it small and stick to the setback rules like everyone else.
