He certainly has never as a player or through his commentary on tv enthused his loylty to LFC. Whoever thought that the fans would be happy with appointment after the man went to play for Manchester United, withouta mere thought for the cconsequences?

Ridiculous. He s a Man U supporter not Liverpool. Proof in his commentating which leaves a lot to be desired. Carra, Fowler or Rush would be better

Since leaving LFC, to join several other clubs, he seems to have lost any connection, values or loyalty to LFC, indeed he seems to favour his other clubs above LFC, you can here that in his poor commentary, and he did cross the great divide, unacceptable., to then represent LFC, would he give the role justice, or would he use the opportunity to go racing??
