While I don't necessarily agree with the alternative solutions proposed in the petition, I agree that HR392 does not solve the problem. I have many friends who are applying for the GC right niw and this bill completely turns their life upside down with all the other visa and travel restrictions that have been put in place.

The per-country caps result in a more diverse immigration flow to the US. If the caps are eliminated, people from countries other than India (who currently gets the highest share of EB GCs), generally more highly skilled than the H-1Bs, would be crowded out as virtually all employment-based green cards went to Indians.

This bill will kill thw diversity in work environment and increases nepotism throughout different job market. It doesn’t have efficiency to eliminate the backlog just spreads it throughout every nation applications. It’s not a solution and it will make bigger problems.
