It doesn't solve the backlog issue at all. Just redistributes it in an unfair way harming the diversity. The only solution is either the merit-based approach or increased visa numbers so that demand doesn't exceed supply.

It’s not about fairness when things are not starting from a common ground... it’s about equality and this bill is in complete contradiction with equality. It is also against the whole idea of diversity.

It only transfers backlog to other nations with lower population without solving the main issue. Why not just use the overflow capacities and assign them to idian and Chinese?

This is an unfair and biased legislation. Indian and Chinese nationality have already an oversized share of the visas and this will help them grow it exponentially.
