This should not be located so close to residential homes.

We vote NO NO NO to an alternative HS right next door to our neighborhood. Please use COMMON SENSE here. It's not that we don't support the rehab of these troubled & delinquent teens, but putting them right next door to our peaceful, family-based neighborhood like ours that is ... let's FACE IT ... affluent is dangling a carrot in front of teens already known to make "bad decisions." The world is already scary enough for our children ... and now this??? Seriously??? Please make an intelligent decision here and put this rehab HS in a remote place without the temptation for troubled teens to get into more trouble and without taking away the safety and peace of mind that is one of the very reasons we all settled in Heritage Hills. Be smart here!!

We strongly request that you make a decision to place the facility elsewhere, removed from residential areas. Should you not do so, please be aware that we shall oppose such use by every means possible.

Please look for other places that are not adjacent to residential areas. Perhaps the vacant Sears at 470 and Yosemite is annoption

This is not an appropriate location for an alternative high school. I call on the DCSD Board members to reject this use for this building immediately adjacent to a residential neighborhood.

Destroying the peaceful existence of families both financially & their daily peace of mind will do no one a service. No other district has ever located such a school within feet of residents. Find a suitable location. There are many in the area.

Hopefully the school board will be able to find a more suitable place for an alternative high school.

As we become increasingly concerned about school safety issues, I also wonder about the lack of "campus" space around this building. Land around a building serves multiple purposes besides providing privacy. It may create a refuge for students to escape should there be a hazardous situation in building. In this case, students might feel the need to climb a fence & seek safety in a neighboring yard.

We don't need problem teens in our backyard. I can't believe public officials would even be considering this where my family lives. Take the problem teens and their peers to a different part of Douglas County. Our law enforcement department is busy enough. We don't need to add to the problem by bringing in this facility to attempt to fix teens with drug and criminal problems. Bad idea.

I support the other services like conference center but not the alternative School for obvious security reasons. I did not just buy into Heritage Hills to have an alternative School being potentially setup. We would have gone to Heritage Estate instead

Just another way to jeopardize our safety and make this area even more congested

The safety and security of residents would by compromised by having an alternative high school next to Heritage Hills. A better location would be the now abandoned Sports Authority Building.
