Do not agree with the changes

I live in Savannah Hills and these boundaries make no sense? Seems like there are much closer neighborhoods they could have pulled from that are actually near Laverna Evans.

I do not want my child switching schools.

Homeowner and taxpayer saying this is unjust. Me and the thousands of constituents who are funding this decision along with the tax hikes recently, will personally make it our mission to unseat every official who supports this vote. Do the right thing

As District 90 representatives I implore you to take note of the united voices of the community you represent and DO NOT rezone Stone Briar and Savannah Hills.

We did choose our home solely based on the location and school. We would be in Edwardsville if this proposal was in place before we bought.

Why in the world would just two single subdivisions be singled out to have our children bused clear across town to a school that does not match the level that we pay in taxes??

We purchased our house based on wanting the best education for our children. For the district to now tell me that because of issues at Evans our kids have to suffer is ridiculous. My kids love their friends, teachers & school, this proposal will significantly change their lives. Not to mention that our property value will drop significantly. At the time of this proposal was made, we didn't get the chance to voice our opinion on the matter, it will make to much sense since we are the ones directly affected.

I do not understand or agree with this proposal. I do not understand why the board would select two seemingly random subdivisions and impact the children by forcing them into significantly longer commute times by having to attend the school furthest away from them (we all understand, we just don't agree with it). Re-zoning has been discussed for several years but I do not recall ever seeing a proposed map of the re-zoned district; it is not a surprise why. In addition to the impact to the children, it appears this proposal has not taken into account all of the other factors other parents have already mentioned, including: impact to property value, impact to activities, commute time to the kids school for parents who work, etc. I would like the board and the re-zoning committee to explain many things that factored into this decision, but two primary questions are: 1. Are there really no other subdivisions in the whole of District 90 (perhaps in the section designated for Moye in the western portion of the district) that cannot fulfill the sociology-economical needs of the district that would alleviate the need to send our kids across the district everyday; and 2. What was special about these two subdivisions that fit the bill? Why not Far Oaks or any of the other affluent subdivisions if test scores, money and diversity are the driving factors?

I don't support savannah hills children being bused to Evans. I think it's a ridiculous decision.

delete We moved here two years ago from out of state and before purchasing our home we did a lot of research on the schools in each neighborhood of O'Fallon so that we could make a purchasing decision that best reflected our needs: the best schools for our children. In choosing Savannah Hills, we knew we were paying a lot for the cost of the home and associated taxes but we did so with our #1 factor being the quality of the schools from elementary to high school. We pay more than 6k a year in property taxes, the majority of which goes to the schools, and it would be very unfair for the children in this neighborhood to be sent to different schools than parents/homeowners assumed they would be going to when they purchased their home. Additionally, this would greatly affect the resale value of homes in our family-friendly neighborhood.

I do not agree to this redistricting. The kids and organizations at Marie Schaeffer are the ones ultimately who will be paying the price by being forced into a new school. Organizations such as PTO, girl scouts, and cub scouts will lose participants. Volunteers at Schaeffer may be forced to leave for Evans to volunteer with their kids which will hurt the volunteer heavy programs at Schaeffer. Friendships between stdents and Schaeffer staff may also suffer. My daughter loves Schaeffer and would be heartbroken to move schools. Logistically this makes no sense. Pull from the areas closer to Evans rather than bus kids further. Redistricting should not be about creating a socio-economic balance. It should be about creating a central hub of pride and involvement around different parts of the community in which those parts of the community are exposed. You don't get that same sense of pride and involvement when the school is disjointed from your part of,the community.

Growing up in savannah hills, I was transferred to multiple schools, 3 for just elementary, due to these borders. I don't want my family to have to suffer the way I did with having to start over every time I was transferred.

Keep our children where they currently attend: Marie Schaefer

757 Merrifields Drive. Please do not do this! My now 1st and 4th grader will be separated and never be at the same school again. Never mind put my youngest clear across town, but also making it impossible for a working (single) parent to get to work on time.

No to Stone Briar school rezoning

You will be in the same district but the home schools will be different. They are trying to balance out the demographics of schools so there aren't some schools with higher household incomes than others.
