The damage caused to build this project outweighs the potential so called benefits, which I don't agree with. Tourism is best when there is something special about a place. There is nothing special about yet another causeway. And also the causeway actually ruins the million dollar view the area has.now without one. If anything, it might bring unwanted guests, as how would you then control an access point you have created. If one would like to patrol Ongiil there are other ways to do so than what is proposed in this project. Overall, it is a quick and non efficient solution to some easily fixable problems. I suggest the Governor do another round of consultations with the people of Ngkeklau to arrive at mutually beneficial solutions. Times have changed and we should not cling on to old beliefs or legacy projects when it does not make sense for future generations.
