We are underdeveloped as it is. Our infrastructure can't handle more development. We need to keep the remaining charm of our county.

Siesta Key is a treasure for Florida and the world. The beautiful beaches, quaint shops and restaurants, aligned with the beach chill vibe make it a must see destination. The flood of high rise type construction will ruin the attraction of Siesta Key.

Sarasota County is not Miami Beach- we are a small and charming town and county with beautiful vistas and world class beaches- this is what attracts both residents and tourists alike- catering to developers and their greed will destroy everything that is special and unique to our area! Just say no!!!

I own on Siesta Key and am VERY opposed to increasing density. We are already crowded.

I can’t comprehend how they think this will work. The traffic is already a problem & when the development is done on the corner of Stickney Point & 41 it will be a disaster to an already high volume of traffic. The greediness must stop. It’s abundantly unfair to the full & part-time residents.
The village will never be able to accommodate the amount of people from 2 large hotels & the usual customers. The guests will be short term visitors who will be loud, disruptive & disrespectful (littering, etc). This will ruin the charm, quaintness & SK vibe that we have all grown accustomed to
for so many years. If a hotel is added at the south end then restaurant customers will have to wait 2 hours or more instead of an hour
to be seated. Again, this is so unfair to the full time residents who have built beautiful homes on Midnight Pass Road. It sets a terrible precedence to favor money over people. I’m shocked & extremely disappointed
this is even being considered.

I love going to Siesta Key, we have rented condos and also homes. We have gone down for a day trip, the reason we come is because of the beauty and cleanliness being able to walk on the beach, walk around town visit the shops and restaurants, adding mega hotels will make this almost impossible to do. Getting across the bridge, crossing the streets and parking would be a headache and ruin the atmosphere of the area.

The impact on the island and not to mention the waterways can not handle such structures. Dear Politicians, You can not always think of your pockets! ! Surly, we must consider your replacements if you are even thinking for such a disastrous plan.

Why is it that a major change to the character of our county does not require a community discussion of what we want Sarasota to look like in 10, 20, 30 years? Why do our elected officials make it seem as if all we can do is be passive, frustrated observers of Browardization?
