I am so pleased to see Carmen lead the fight against an EIGHTY that's 8 stories high 170 room hotel structure. Bob T. Anderson, one venture owners of the developers s Says they are keenly in-tune with supporting local business on the Key. It is impossible to believe this is even being considered. It is a bit HUGE for that area!!! The charm of Siesta is it isn't every other Gucci-esque place. Some want it to remain quaint.

Time for a moratorium environment and infrastructure cannot take any more of these nonsensical ideas.

We don’t need high rise buildings on siesta key. We love it’s charm just as it is.

We are becoming too commercialized, quickly losing our charm.

I’ve been visiting siesta key since I was a small child. It’s the small village feel that keeps my family coming back. Keep the hotels and chains where they are wanted. This community is perfect as is and has been for decades.

Please protect the neighborhoods and beaches of both South and North Village. Please restrict and limit mass development and high-rise hotels. Don't allow big money to "buy" and/or "create" new policy and new ordinances. Please protect South Village and our beaches!

High density hotels will erode everything on the island. Roads, beaches, crime, trash...the whole infrastructure will be put under enormous pressure.
