Traffic is already impossible, very long lines, making people angry behind the wheel, in Feb and March. Angry drivers make a road unsafe!! More accidents, people hurt, ambulances and need to get on the island for ill, elderly residents! Please do not make our living unsafe with high density hotels!!

Shame on ANYONE thinking that SK has the infrastructure to maintain those sorts of buildings! Not only are you trashing Siesta with the demands of high density housing, but you are screwing the buyers of that high density housing as SK wil Never have the sewer water or power utilities in place to handle them, & definitely not the traffic to handle it either. who on earth would want to trash such a beautiful little island. Go Back to the East Coast for your obscene structures!

I lived in Sarasota for 18 years. I watched Siesta Key and the greater Sarasota area change from a quiet hidden gem/paradise to an over saturated west coast beach town. Too much development and money have ruined the charm of that beautiful beach. This proposal does not surprise me at all. When they turned the front of the beach into a concrete disgrace, we new it was time to leave town. Hopefully this gets shut down.

It's well past time to pay attention to county constituents. Siesta Key seems to be doomed for elimination from one of the best beaches in the U.S. very soon. Those who will gain their $$ and run, simply won't care.

Our current code is already inadequate to protect the irreplaceable natural resources on which our local economy is based. allowing further development is totally shortsighted and self-destructive.

I have lots of family in Sarasota and we all take an annual trip to Siesta Key and stay for a week on the Key. We love the charm of Siesta Key and would likely start picking a new location if Siesta Key is developed any further than it is. I live in the Virgin Island and my family can simply start visiting me every year instead of Siesta Key.
