We the people have spoken.
Now be the politician we elected and vote "NO" to commercial zoning.
And we need to remember this on re-election day. Also we do not have to shop at or support and business we don't want in our neighborhood. We need to continue to stick together.

Please Do Not allow Dollar General to build at the Fischer/Raymond Hill Intersection. This will make traffic increase and be unsafe for school children. This is a residential area and needs to remain as such. If someone wants to shop at a Dollar General they only need to travel a few miles from this exact location.

We are saturated with dollar stores between west Peachtree ciy, Sharpsburg, and Newnan. There are 2 in the immediate vicinity of CR 34 and hwy 154 shopping intersection, 1 in Sharpsburg already, and 1 just across the border on hwy 54 behind Kobe steakhouse. We DO NOT need another dollar store! The increased traffic on a residential street like Fischer rd is unwelcome since Sam's club went in on fischer rd and hwy 34, but at least that area makes some sense for shopping since there is more traffic to support the business. A dollar general would also drive Halls grocery (family owned) out of business. And conservation land to commercial rezoning...seriously?? The county thinks those desigantions are interchangeable?? I say no to Dollar General.

I live on Oconee Woods and moved to this part of town BECAUSE there were not commercial businesses or developments next to my home or neighborhood. We have plenty of shopping options (bargain and otherwise) within a short drive, and there is NO reason to begin building commercial establishments in the area where they want to put this store. Long time residents will have to look out of the front doors of their homes into a parking lot - which is completely unacceptable to force upon the residents of Sharpsburg. It would also create more traffic issues for an intersection that is already stressed due to local school traffic. This would only open the door for more commercial development to intrude into a predominantly residential area where there is no expressed interest, or need for this type of business. This idea is ill advised, and grossly incompetent -and any local official or politician who supports it should understand that they will not be re-elected. ... But Dollar General might be happy to hire them.

Current streets are no thru truck streets and cannot handle eighteen wheelers. Fischer road is suppose to be a bike route. Commercial needs to be in Fischer Crossing and there is already a Dollar General a few miles down the road.

This area does not need to have commercial development. Having experienced commercial development come in to our neighborhood previously after being told it would not have an impact......was horrible! Dumpsters being emptied at 2AM..tractor trailer trucks at all hours of the night to restock, traffic congestion due to the trucks trying to maneuver in the area...and those that had food products provided an influx of RATS !! Please vote against this!!!
