- 6,000 acres are needed for 600 MW of solar. The same energy could allegedly be generated on: 30 acres using natural gas turbines. 80 acres using modular or emerging clean energy technologies. -Solar is described as inefficient in land use compared to other energy sources. -Rising electric bills are linked to high data center energy demand. -The solar power would not serve local residents. -The regional power grid (PJM) is overloaded with data centers. -Deplete Will County’s aquifer within five years. *****Require expensive water importation from Lake Michigan to nearby cities such as Joliet. -The solar project is contributing to broader industrial strain on infrastructure. -Property values will decline. -Rural character will be permanently altered. -Residential growth trends will end. -Dream-home construction will stop.

There needs to be some kind of land preservation in the county before everything's gone. We don't need this here.

Let’s keep the Shenandoah Valley as ecologically natural as possible. No data centers. Clean our river waters.

It is beautiful here, and also we're in a severe drought and have been for years. For both of these reasons, we do not need to add to Virginia's over 600 data centers right now.
