Loved my 1991 Fleetwood Brougham. It was big, comfortable, surpisingly fast and also nimble for such a large car. It was the last of the last of American cars made for the american man.

I have bought 8 new Cadillacs over the years, it's the only car I want to drive for pleasure. I applaud the idea of a larger new cadillac but the name is unimagineable., it has no ring to it. I musch preer a name not a number.

I am deeply offended by the historical ignorance, and arrogance of tbe 'new managment',at Cadillac. Rolls Mercedes,BMW,succed because theh enhance their traditions, and do not disdain them ! Fleetwood,Eldorado, and Deville shoild be the cars....if you wat numbers ,you have them;the 60 Special, and Fleetwood 75. I am also offended by the company insulting the famous models. When those cars where built Cadillac was everyones dream, and captured the worlds imagination....Everyone I know, old, young, hates the recent Cadillacs. Listening to the stupidity of their ideas, and unctuos attitudes,I am finished with the brand forever.

Real names can show passion, and cause people to remember vehicles. Alphanumerics are soulless, and make distinguishing models difficult, if not impossible. Let's see a return to real names from the past--Eldorado, Seville, etc.--and a ditching of the letters and numbers.

I waited for you to build a car I could buy on its metrit. When you did, I did. Actually, I bought three. A 2009 CTS-V, a 2010 CTS for my wife and a 2011 CTS for my parents. I am at a point in my life where I have earned a car that stands for something at the same time it delivers excellence in every regard. You know before I even say the words that I am referring to the S Class Mercedes. I waited for, hoped for, the Elmiraj. But, I waited for nothing. I wanted to buy America. I wanted buying American to mean something special. But, you have lost your way. All you can offer me now is a Johany-come-lately knock-off of an Audi. If you can't offer me an American product that delivers excellence and an American identity, if you really want me to buy German, then you leave me no choice. You seem to insist that I buy a German car. However, I will buy the one with a soul.

Eldorado, Seville, Fleetwood, etc are uniquely American icons. Those were the cars that people aspired to. No one is ever going to say "boy, I can't wait to get a CT6". It amazes me that Cadillac would abandon such classic model names only to copy the European standards. I'm 46 years old and I bought maybe 10 new Caddys in my life but none since the Eldorado was killed. There is a huge pent up market for big, powerful, luxury, American cars and Cadillac is going to blow again with a lettered nomenclature--breaking my heart one more time.
