They say it will attract tourists to the area and when we see shark attacks on surfers and swimmers say goodbye to the tourists.

Chiton Rocks to Goolwa Beach has seen minimal negative interaction between shark and surfer for many a year. If they cage a major food source for pelagic species of shark just off Granite Island I predict we will see more shark attacks on surfers and swimmers in the region. Aquaculture of the nature proposed should be left to more remote areas.

I do not want a tuna farm any where near a tourist spot such as Victor Harbor, nor do I want it near wales and their calves.

I am very concerned for the future effects this will have, particularly on the Southern Right Wales and the calving sanctuary.

Why farm tuna with all the inherent risks to humans, the environment and tourism economy????? Oysters would be a much better alround alternative.

The waters of Encounter Bay/ Victor Harbor are recognized as a breeding area for the endangered Southern Right Whales. This proposal is potentially detrimental to that. We should be doing everything we can to make it a safer place for the whales to come.

I regard this proposed 'attraction' for Victor Harbor as unsuitable and unneccessary. The benefits would be marginal as paying visitors could well be 'once offs' The risks associated with the operation far outweigh any benefit to the Victor Harbor community. Indeed the operation may be detrimental to the the environment, marine life, and poeple who use the water for recreation.

This is incompatible with small boat sailing in the bay. Experience from Lincoln is feed the tuna=sharks.
