No thanks. A detrimental effect on the environment plus increased shark activity, either perceived or real, would surely have a greater negative effect on the local community than the possible up-side of a few jobs at the fish farm.

Victor Harbour is a beautiful beach side town that attracts plenty of tourists. The last thing it needs is this eyesore ruining the natural beauty of the coastline, there's already too much of that.
Increased shark activity in the area is also a big concern.

This proposal is far too close to many spots that are frequented by many users of the ocean, including swimmers, surfers, sailors, etc. There would be a significantly increased risk of shark attack. Who wants that on their conscience should this proposal go ahead? Then there are all the other matters such as the ecological effects on the environment that appear to be of concern too. This development is not appropriate for granite island or any immediate surrounds.

Victor Harbor has never been known for it's Tuna. I see no reason to mess with a fragile ecosystem simply to snag a few extra tourist dollars. Send them to Pt Lincoln if they want Tuna, it's also a great SA town.

Preserve our beautiful waters.Tourists take a ride on the Big Duck boat tours if you want to see our natural marine life .Worth doing

I am concerned that such a development will cause imbalance to the marine environment and will be detrimental to an already thriving tourist industry namely surfing and other ocean related recreations. I think it would be a disaster for our region.

The fantastic people from KI stopped this from happening in their marine environment. They had many valid reasons as does this special area. The Conservation Council of SA have provided an excellent report highlighting the key issues including potential entanglements of marine life and other factors detrimental to the marine habitat.

This proposal is ill-conceived and will increase the risk for everyone who uses the water in and around Victor Harbor. The developer is putting their own short term financial gain ahead of the safety of the community.
