Its a disgrace how the uk treat the wildlife and animals. It is a pity that people make their environments dirty and disgusting by dropping many forms of litter and councils that think its ok to not clean public pathways. The school children and around those areas are so bad its shocking. Leave the wild life alone, learn to protect and respect the environment and the animals, or the planet like everything else will fade out and then were all in very big trouble. Open your eyes its already happening around us.

herring gulls are quite rare now, i thought they were protected? anyway they have a right to life and to live where they like, which is incidently on the rough cliff faces, only some smart humans decided to sheer most of them smooth, hence the influx of gulls on roof tops and becoming annoyances inland, you cant have it all ways for pitty sake, humans have to learn to live with the other inhabitants of this earth, who have just as much right to this plannet as the humans do

I am sure they see US as a pest too. We need to figure out how to share this world, not destroy those creatures that we find inconvenient.

My mothers family were fishermen and they would be turning in their graves at the prospect of culling gulls!!

Why is the answer to every problem kill it? they aren't the problem humans are, sort out our behaviour!

Try looking at the root cause of the problem. If people stopped eating junk food outdoors the gulls wouldn't have a food source. Problem solved!

Human(homo sapiens) is the most overpopulated specie... Should we cull them too? To cull species is not the answer to overpopulation.

I live here on the coast BECAUSE I LOVE seagulls... its their RIGHT to live here, NOT our right to kill them... if you dont like them move somewhere else you miserable sadistic monsters... my family will remember this come voting time, thats a promise

Why is it that any animal that bothers us - usually because of our behavior, has to be culled - would we do this to humans?

If they want to discourage gulls, then people need to be better about removing food waste from the streets. They can also be actively be discouraged from nesting in urban areas using humane methods..bird scarers, spikes etc.

No! No! No! Messy, noisy and irritating? I think you'll find that describes human beings to a T! Seagulls aren't a patch on us! Leave them alone! They are beautiful birds that can live for decades! You can't just kill everything that you don't like!!!

I live in a costal resort. Always have segulls on my roof each year. They are part of the coast and have never attacked my family children or pets. Because we dont threaten them. Seagulls should be left alone
