I am against a supposed assault weapons ban. The mere premise that this bill is based on is ridiculous. It shows that the authors of the bill are not educated on the subject they are proposing. The listed semi automatic weapons are NOT assault weapons. The mere fact that they feel implementing such a ban for public safety is non sense. It has been proven that such a ban has done noithing for public safety. The bill references the MD Bill that was passed. Can you honestly tell me that bills has curbed the gun violence in Baltimore. Proven fact; criminals don't follow laws..that's what makes them criminals. This law will only impact the law abiding citizens who enjoy our Rights to bear arms. Use unbiased facts to make laws not knee jerk reactions to flow what other states have done.

Usurping the rights of law abiding citizens does absolutely nothing to stop criminals intent on breaking the law. Address the real problem. Do not use it as a means to further a liberal agenda.

I don’t own a gun, however I do not believe taking guns from law abiding citizens is the answer. The problem is not going to go away by doing this. Unfortunately, guns will still get into the wrong hands.
