Guns are only an instrument, and stand alone, are incapable of anything. It's the person who is holding the weapon that is responsible for how, when, or if, ammunition is discharged from the weapon. Maybe those trying to place bans would be better served in correcting how those who are supposedly not eligible to own these instruments seem to be bypassing the "rules" and creating situations. Those of us who have obtained them legally and responsibly should not be punished for the few who have not

The new definition of assault rifle is completely ridicules . The only thing they have in common is a non internal magazine. The firearms you seek to ban do not have a select fire. No three round burst, no full automatic. They are one shot per pull of trigger .

The weapon isn’t the problem, it’s the person behind it. Maryland has some of the strictest gun laws and they just had a minor, with a handgun, shot up a school and was stopped by the SRO.
