Signing this petition shows your support for better testing to diagnose and predict preeclampsia. The Preeclampsia Foundation represents women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Biomarkers are powerful laboratory tools that can be used to detect and predict pathology before symptoms. Yet healthcare providers are still using antiquated tools: blood pressure, proteinuria, maternal symptoms, and basic blood chemistries which are highly variable, nonspecific and poorly predictive of outcomes. We are calling upon leaders in research, industry, regulatory bodies, policy makers, professional societies, and eventually payers to engage and address this call to action, removing barriers and accelerating the development and adoption of biomarkers to improve screening and diagnosis of hypertensive and placental disorders of pregnancy. The medical establishment is still dragging its feet on life-saving diagnostic technology while women suffer the consequences. We need to hit two hundred and fifty signatures immediately so we can force these researchers and regulators to stop ignoring us. Keep pushing this until they have no choice but to listen.

We just hit 100 signatures but the medical establishment is still ignoring these dangerous gaps in care. Do not get comfortable because these regulatory bodies and industry leaders need to feel real pressure before they change their antiquated approach.

The medical establishment is still clinging to archaic tools while women suffer the consequences. We are approaching one hundred signatures and we need to push past this point right now to force these regulators to stop ignoring the science.

Do it for the babies and the mothers both. Modern medicine should be able to handle this.
I almost lost my life because they didnt catch it until it was way too late. This needs to change for the sake of other moms.
My bp was fine but my labs were a mess and they still missed it. Fix this!!!!
Lost a good friend to this. Its preventable and scary as hell.
My wife dealt with this and the uncertainty was the worst part. We need better tech now.

Ridiculous that we are still using outdated testing. Why is medical tech so slow on this?
