Noise and pollution are unbearable for those who live in the area around Heathrow and I totally disagree with its expansion.

I am totally opposed to ANY expansion of air travel in the South East. The constant increase in air travel is not sustainable and will assist in the severe deterioration in our environment.

Noise and pollution are a nightmare for those people living under the flight path. Expansion should not be on the agenda.

As well as the noise, I believe when planes come into land they dump excess fuel.

noise from Heathrow impacts more people than the other major European airports put together. It is detrimental to all of our health, the cost on the environment does not justify this expansion

It is prescient that noise from Heathrow impacts more people than the other major European airports put together. It is detrimental to all of our health and there shold be a plan for its replacement, not expanded. Its simply in the wrong place unfortunately.

I have lived under the Heathrow flight path for over 50 years and experienced the increase in flights and noise. The expansion of Heathrow is not the answer if you take into consideration all the economic costs that include impact on health, childrens education and the environment it does not add up.

The existing disruption to sleep from early morning and late night flights is detrimental to health. There are no medical surveys that suggest otherwise. There is a significant risk of terrorist activity causing large loss of life from a crashing plane on London. Heathrow was never intended to be a major airport and should be closed, not expanded.

It's time for a visionary long term solution. Heathrow expansion is just a sticking plaster and I oppose it completely.

Safety is the major factor and operating Heathrow at 98% capacity is just wrong - there is no room for error. We say the brilliance of a crash landing recently in the Hudson River and the near disaster at Heathrow when the Boeing crashed just inside the Heathrow boundary. A decision is needed now not in another 3-5 years..

at present Heathrow impacts more people than all the other major European airports combined. Enough is enough!

I am against Heathrow expansion for reasons of noise, pollution and safety (incoming flights predominantly fly over most of London. The near disaster, fortunately averted, when the a plane crashed just inside the airport boundary was surely a salutary warning.

Whilst I understand the business need to expand LHR, it doesn't outweigh the impact to the environment and people

Airport in the Thames Estuary seams the most logical solution
