Heathrow is too central in London. There must be a better space for an airport where planes don't fly right over one of the the most populated area in England.

Uprooting people to allow another runway will be devastating. Noise and pollution will increase. A new airport further out the southeast east will be better thus giving more jobs to the local area. The community in Harmondsworth needs to remain intact to include the beautiful church, graveyard and the Tithe Barn

Leaving aside the prospect of more and more constant noise overhead, more planes flying over London = more chance one day of one them crashing in a densely populated area. It's a stupid plan.

Enough is enough, its like trying to squeeze a quart into a pint pot! We already have an enormous number of airports serving London and if we need more then we should consider building a runway else where. It will make living in west London intolerable. I was told that the airport would not need a third runway if terminal five was built, Hey presto as soon as they got permission to build the terminal it now needs a third runway there is also talk of a forth one being needed for further expansion. We don't need it !!!

What with the noise and the increased pollutions levels, this will only lead to increased stress levels, less sleep & skin allergy problems. It has also been proved that increased CO2 emissions contribute to climate change & will only result in more extreme patterns of weather. The expansion of Heathrow is a short term commercial gain and the environmental factors outweigh it's growth.
