we should be optimising flights and reducing emissions and not expanding a major airport in a densely populated residential area. Noise and air pollution are Already blighting our lives and an accident would be catastrophic.

Terrible, relentless noise levels already due to the current trial flight paths. I dread to think what the noise will be like with an expansion of a third runway

I strongly oppose the expansion of Heathrow airport due to the intolerable noise pollution it will bring.

This expansion would be disastrous for everyone living near Heathrow. We experience unsociable noise level now, it would be much worse if this is given the go ahead.

The current trials going on are ruining my quality of life at home before they have even built another runway

Unacceptable, Gatwick is far more suitable location for expansion.

The noise would increase, the quality of the air will worsen. If it expands we will have a worse quality if life and our house prices will decrease!

The pollutants from the vast number of planes is causing breathing problems for young and old alike and the constant noise is damaging to mental health. Only big business and politicians want it. I do not believe a single word they say about how we NEED it. RUBBISH. What will they do in years to come when a million people put in claims for compensation when it the link between asthma and lung cancer among residents within sight and sound of the airport claim for compensation?

Plane noise getting worse by the day. Several times more flights directly overhead than last year. Clearly they're already changing routes to try the "It won't be worse than it is now" argument. Already way too much.

There should be expansion at LGW and STN. Ever increasing expansion at LHR is just not sustainable in any respect.

The noise is already too much - we don't need expansion at Heathrow. Gatwick is the more sensible option although the Estuary option is a better long term option
