The only people benefiting are LHR investors - no real advantage for the community, not even financial. All we get is noise, traffic and pollution. I am boycotting LHR from now on, and I fly 4-5 times a year.

I am strongly opposed to a third runway due to the increase in noise blight and disruption over a much great area and affecting many more people. It is also a health and safety issue.

Extending heathrow will only exacerbate an already noisey area. We have flights continually overhead the idea that there will be more flights and that they will be considerably closer to my local area fills me with dread. You will drive communities apart as people (myself included) will give serious consideration to selling up! NO TO HEATHROW EXPANSION!!!

We purchased an upmarket B&B in Ascot in August 2014 and moved in three weeks ago, albeit for some peace and quiet, away from our stressful life in London. Ironically, since moving into our PROPERTY, we have not slept due to the constant, loud bombardment of aircraft noise, flying directly above our property. We struggle to even go out into our gardens without being subjected to the intimidating sight of large aircraft flying over our heads and then to be burdened by the bellowing roar of engines and finally, the engulfment of putrid diesel fumes. Having a Science background, I know more than most, that these fumes pose a significant health risk, let alone the heath risks associated by sleepless nights and the relentless stress of one living under a flight path. A neighbour only advised us a week ago of the flight trials. We purchased this property based on information provided by the estate agent, previous owners and our solicitors. At no time were we advised that the Ascot area was being targeted as yet another flight path route for Heathrow. If we were made aware of this, we would not have purchased the property. Like all residents in the surrounding areas which have been affected, so will tourism. Tourists will no longer be able enjoy the peaceful walks around Great Windsor Park or Virginia Water without being bombarded by the roar of constant, low-flying planes and then to be succumbed by the dumping of copious quantities of diesel. We are in discussion with a specialist legal firm who will be taking legal action for the distress and sleep deprivation caused. Additionally, they will be claiming compensation associated with the devaluation of the property should Ascot be deemed as another village placed under the sufferance of Heathrow's inefficiency. We will be raising a public appeal which will reveal the lack of sensitivity and the legal processes which should have been adhered to before this haphazard decision was made. We do not have the space nor the infrastructure to support the additional traffic a third runway would bring. We are already over-crowded and fighting for air - please, no more.
