It's time that this was resolved! An innovative solution to London's airports must be made - the estuary is one exciting way to solve it.

I strongly disagree with the Heathrow expansion. Flights from 5 am through the very late evening is more than enough.

There is no viable reason why Heathrow should be expanded and I strongly object to any expansion at Heathrow.

The impact of an expanded Heathrow would not just be in the air but would mean a massive road and public transport development in the surrounding area with significant adverse effects. Not only would London as a whole be affected even further but so would Reading, Maidenhead and many other towns nearby. And why should all the jobs be focussed in the South-don't we care about employment in the Midlands and the North? Why have HS2 and expand Heathrow? Once again a decision on expanding Heathrow will provoke another long set of legal battles and will show that when politicians decide no that they actually mean yes.

If one was starting from scratch then it would not be Heathrow - so why expand it?

No Heathrow expansion should happen

Heathrow should never have been expanded, it is simply in the wrong place.

I strongly object to the expansion of heathrow. Any increase will further erode the quality of life of the residents that are impacted by the flights in and out of Heathrow. As it currently stands flights start at 5.30am and continue late into the evening, any further increase is unacceptable.

Heathrow is in the wrong place. Throwing good money after bad merely makes things worse. It would be madness.

We need to look forward and recognise that Heathrow is simply the wrong place to have an international hub airport.

Spread the burden of flight capacity, don't blight one area for the sake of short-term convenience.

Osbourne should rejuvenate the construction industry by building an new airport in the east and a new town at heathrow.

For those of us right under the flight path, expansion would make our lives hellish

For the sake of the environment and the well-being of the thousands of residents of London who would be affected by this decision, please do not expand Heathrow airport.

The airport will be a blight and the conservatives will be breaking their election promise if an expansion of Heathrow takes place. They will no longer have my vote

only a man with little imagination would not opt for the chance to build a new world class airport

The existing noise is already appalling and the pollution very bad - there are days when I can taste aircraft fuel if I mistakenly breath through my mouth. Expand Stanstead and Gatwick and get more balance to the situation. If Heathrow expansion goes ahead I shall nopt vote Conservative again (having done so all my life).
