I am alrady having to survive on five hours sleep a night due to night flights at 4.26am. The onslaught of planes day nd night is already unsustainable and we cannot take any more. Heathrow expansion is a short-termist solution. What is needed is investment in a 24 hours airport with 4-6 runways in the Thames Estuary which will not impact on a densely populated City and connect with the freight port and fast rail connections. The surface connections from S London to Heathrow are non-existant and Gatwick is a better option yet Gatwick cannot fly to many destinations eg JFK New York. There are considerable risks associated with Heathrow expansion - to health, environmental, financial and political.

Noise from Heathrow is already a blight of many Londoners lives. Heathrow is in the wrong place and should be closed, not expanded.

Stop early morning flights 4:30 is not an acceptable time to wake anyone up with roaring engines overhead when the last one feels over only 5.5 hours earlier at 11pm! How can that be right?

there are other options. the lives of those of us under the heathrow flight path are blighted enough. my little boy is woken most nights by the night planes - the noise gives him nightmares. Enough is enough.

Heathrow was always the wrong place for a major international airport. It inflicts vast amounts of air and noise pollution on a very large number of people. It also increases the risk of a plane crash into an area of high population. Expanding Heathrow further will not only exacerbate that problem but will also entrench the position of those with a vested interest in its future, leading them to demand more and more expansion in the future.
