The government has a history of broken promises over Heathrow. The noise from early morning arrivals is disturbing, as well as the disturbance to normal life in the garden on a summer's day. Capacity can be used more efficiently without the need for further expansion.

Noise and pollution directly over my house is now causing me lung trouble and sleep problems. Transgresses my human rights.

Very concerned to hear that Commission's report appears to support expansion at Heathrow. This would cause further misery to millions of West Londoners - noise as well as risk of death / serious injury due to increased risk of air accident or a stowaway falling down. I urge Sir Howard to re-think any expansion at Heathrow; expansion at Gatwick, Stanstead or in east Londonw would not affect such large numbers of residents as adversely as Heathrow expansion would.

I strongly oppose expansion at Heathrow. Noise is already unacceptable and I reject the argument that increasing the number of airborne businessmen would benefit me or my family in any way whatsoever.

It is far too noisy where it is, and should be Gatwick, Stanstead or the estuary

I am horrified at the thought of a Third Runway at Heathrow. The noise from aeroplanes is already far too much. There are a number of perfectly sensible and practical alternatives

look at the University of Reading "Connected" magazine issue 4 2013. Research by Dr Paul Williams showed that climate change doubles the turbulence risk by aircrafts by the middle of the century. With increased danger it is unwise to increase the number of flights over a heavily populated area of the SE England.

our physical and mental welfare are already undermined by noise and pollution, consider alternatives to expansion

Getting into and out of Heathrow is a debacle already - the infrastructure can't cope with the current loads (one traffic accident and it goes pear shaped), and the noise. Expansion is absurd.

Capacity isn't a problem as I believe 40% of LHR traffic goes from one aircraft to another. There are no gains to the British economy. A runway at Stansted is easy and Gatwick (north) is perfectly feasable as long as flights don't fly over Horley. Not West London, Staines and Windsor, please!

Constant noise from 4.30 am and considerable pollution. We are never free of it. The Government's Commission is rigged

No. No. No, to more air traffic. The noise and disturbance is already too great.

I do not believe that on the long run London needs more airport capacity. Regional airports should take more of the burden.
