We have concerns in having these tents in Barrhaven. Having lived in Barrhaven for 15years, we were never consulted on this subject. The idea to help those people is great, but do we have enough support in our community. If most of community members are against it, why should someone else not in our community make such decision at costs of us. Safety is the top concern and there are quite a few schools around the area, do we have measures in place to secure and protect our Canadians? Please address these critical issues before starting this process and take the time to explain to residents in barrhavem.

While we understand the need for humanitarian assistance, we believe it is essential to find a more humane solution in a more appropriate location: No to Tents and NOT in Barrhaven.

There are a lot of schools around this neighborhood. If there are random tents with people with no background check and health records , how do I know if my child and other children are safe? Let alone, citizens too. What if we get physically and sexually harassed,threatened,killed/injured, or even raped? Find other ways to help these people.

This is for short term and too costly to the taxpayer.

Barrhaven has the most population density of Ottawa now, the infrastructure is not fully build yet, Greenbank/Fallowfield road need widening, more roads needs to be build, more transportation option are required, crime rate is rising here. We do not want Federal government created problem add more stress to our community and already troubled system.
Let Justin Trudeau solve his problem, he should have a solid policy to reject most of these people.
Let Barrhaven be a clean, safe place.
