This is an absolutely ridiculous idea. We have no support in Barrhaven to help these New comers. Barrhaven is already so overcrowded. I worry about when they say it will overflow homeless individuals. I am also worried about the property values of our homes dropping in Barrhaven especially to those who are close to the structures.
I honestly am loss for words. I just can’t imagine having 1 but now 2 structures. What are you thinking?

A temporary housing shelter has no place in Barrhaven suburbs as this won’t be temporary. Community housing there is multiple years waitlists for housing and shelters are overwhelmed.. There are no free resources for the homeless, mental health support , and establishments like the Mission, Sheppards of Good Hope etc located in Barrhaven as these services are downtown. We choose to live in the suburbs away from this to retain the value of our homes and for the safety for our children and youth.
