No Tent

I oppose the establishment of a temporary tent settlement for overflowing adult male refugees in my neighborhood due to several pressing concerns. Firstly, the lack of adequate public transportation would isolate these individuals, making it difficult for them to access essential services and opportunities. Additionally, the absence of educational facilities means that the needs of any accompanying children would go unmet, hindering their development and integration. Medical services in the area are already limited, and adding more residents could strain these resources further, leaving vulnerable individuals without necessary care. Lastly, the potential security issues associated with such a settlement could disrupt the safety and peace of our community, creating an environment of uncertainty for residents and newcomers alike.

It is appalling what is going in our backyard and country without supporting our own Citizens first that are struggling and putting more strain on the pocket books of Canadians!

I do not want these tents in either locations in Barrhaven. They have not been properly vetted the government immigration should have a proper plan before accepting a mass of.people. Try focusing on your own Canadian citizens who are already struggling. It is an absolute insult to focus housing for immigration versus your own people who have paid into the system!!

No asylum tents in Barrhaven or anywhere is Ottawa or Canada. We have veterans who fought for our freedom and country living in the streets and true canadians in dire straights and the federal government is spending money on immigrants. What about the health care system and other more important issues.

It is a serious security concern with already no solution from local and provincial authorities on the on going break ins and car thefts. Also Barrhaven does not proper public transport for them to go outside and search for work or day to day living needs. This needs to be reconsidered
