Barrhaven is a community with many young families, and children’s safety is our top priority. If tent shelters were set up in our neighborhoods, what impact might that have on our children? While we care deeply about helping those in need, we cannot do so at the expense of our children’s safety and education. For these reasons, we respectfully request that no tent shelters be placed in our area.

Barrhaven is already over congested and crowded with an increasing crime rate at a very alarming rate. We need to fix those problems first before anything. Its not fair to tax payers living in this area and looking to raise their families and create a healthy and safe environment. There is plenty of open land in orleans..why not there ???

As a long time resident of Barrhaven, I am very concerned about a further crime increase. Not to mention a ripple effect such as diminished property values, likely an end to the weekly farmers market at Nepean Woods, etc, etc.
