I am strongly opposed to the proposal to build the Sprung city for housing asylum seekers and/or the homeless in Barrhaven. This suburb is not equipped to handle such an establishment. Please seek consultation with the community before finalizing any decision on this.

The solution is not to build tents to house asylum seekers. It is to improve processing times for these people so that we can remove illegitimate claimants who will make room for legitimate claimants. This is a federal government responsibility not something that the city should get involved in.

We should just skip the tent altogether and let the migrants stay in the homes of those who came up with this idea! I'm sure they'd be more than happy to accommodate many of them! Not like they'd put the burden on anyone else or anything

Barrhaven is a family center community. I understand everyone needs a roof over their head. Please do it responsibly and thoughtfully. I plead that you don’t add extra stress on our already stretched hardworking middle-class young families and our kids.
